A letter from Mrs. Kursonis
Please read carefully the following information describing the three proposed re-entry plans developed for the 2020-21 academic year, as required by the state. These plans, which include fully in-person, hybrid, and remote learning models, are the result of months of work and planning based on input from our school community; guidance from Dr. David Perda, Superintendent of the Diocese of Worcester Catholic Schools Office and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE); and state and federal COVID-19 health and safety recommendations.
After due consideration, we are able to offer an in-person start to our school year. This will give teachers the opportunity to get to know their new students and assess academic needs to address any gaps in learning related to the rapid COVID-19 closure last spring. I understand and am empathetic to the many concerns of our families about how to best meet the educational, social, and emotional learning needs of our students in the current context of the pandemic . Please be aware that this document is fluid: although it is posted on the website, it may change many times before our September opening, depending upon new information and guidance. Additional information about the school day, including details about designated entrance and exit doors and dismissal, and specifics regarding preschool drop-off and pickup procedures are forthcoming. We hope that changes to this document will be minimal, but as we continue to monitor changing local, state and federal guidance, it may be necessary to modify these re-entry plans.
Thank you for sharing your input and feedback over these last few months. Despite the challenges ahead, rest assured we will continue to provide the same nurturing, loving, and excellent learning environment at school this year, whether in-person, hybrid, or remote. We look forward to welcoming back all of our families in September. Enjoy the rest of the summer.
Mrs. Margaret Kursonis, Principal
St. Peter Central Catholic School
Good Afternoon everyone,
This is Mrs. Kursonis notifying you of some important information regarding our plan for re-entry into school.
I am currently writing three plans as detatiled in the Superintendents letter that is attached.
I am speaking with a focus group of parents, staff and stakeholders regarding the construction of these plans.
Our goal is to open in-person and greet all of our studetns back to school.
I have been made aware that some parents are not comfortable with the in-person model, hence the writing of a remote and hybrid plan as well.
Attached you will find a survey. Please take the time to read the letter and the survey and respond. You may do so with the link provided or forward to me at email@example.com. You can send any questions and concerns to my email as well. Please scroll down to open both aattachments.
It is important to respond. I value your input and cannot make this decision alone.
Hope that you are enjoying your summer.
Miss you all!
You are all in my prayers.

It’s time to register your child for Kindergarten and re-register your child for Pre-K! Mrs. Coughlin sent home applications and information last week for Pre-K. Applications and information for Kindergarten will go home soon (we are waiting on confirmation on the financial aid deadline from the School Dept.). Our Pre-K children are given enrollment opportunities first for our Kindergarten.
