Our STEM journey began with and continues with WPI. Rather than just STEM, our approach is STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art and Mathematics). A group of teachers completed the STEM Integration program at WPI, and have gone on to mentor other schools and presented our school’s STREAM ideas at WPI’s AweSTEM conference.
STREAM Vision
To develop a 21st century learning environment that fosters innovative problem-solving, creative collaboration, and critical thinking, and inspires students – guided by Christ’s example – to positively impact an ever-evolving global world.
STREAM Definition
An interdisciplinary approach to learning, grounded in Christian values, in which rigorous academic concepts are combined with real-world lessons and service learning as students apply Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art and Mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, faith, community, work, and the global enterprise, enabling the development of 21st century STREAM (Science, Religion, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) knowledge and skills along with the ability to achieve success and positively impact God’s world.
